Who we are

The Cool Reeds is a multimedia brand that prioritizes the representation of children of color in education and entertainment. While your child is achieving developmental milestones such as taking a first step or waving bye-bye, they are also learning how to count and say their first words. That’s where we come in. Our books are specially designed to support your child as they learn and grow to develop strong numeracy and literacy skills.

Our Goal

We want to support the next generation of readers by transforming everyday learning adventures into teachable moments for children through the colorful stories in our books. These exciting stories are told through the lens of four (4) energetic, smart and creative friends with diverse backgrounds and exciting stories. From left to right, they are: Drew, Jax, Cali & Sage
